Bro. Perry Johnson
Pastor
Perry G. Johnson (Bro. Perry), was called as Lead Pastor in July 2021 and is serving for a second time at Lake Highlands. His first tour of ministry was in the position of Music, Youth and Education Director 1984-1992. Before and in between those times he has served other churches, both in Staff positions and as Sr. Pastor. He was born in Seminole, TX April, 1959 to Harold & Wanda Johnson, (also a BMA Pastor). He graduated High School at Broaddus ISD, Broaddus TX and college at Lamar University, Beaumont, TX.
Bro. Perry married Linda Dickerson June of 1980 in San Augustine, TX. She has been a faithful pastor’s wife beginning with their first staff position at Bellaire Baptist Church, Port Arthur, TX 1980-1984. She is multi-talented and gifted in leading classes from children’s church to Ladies ministry. She has always been active in the WMA as well as musical accompaniment, both piano and organ. Her passion has always been Sr. Adult ministry.
Bro. Perry has volunteered and ministered outside the church walls serving in Law Enforcement as a Patrolman, a Deputy, and Chaplain for the State of Arkansas in both Arkansas State Police and as Lead Chaplain for the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. Hobbies include dutch oven and cast iron cooking, pistol shooting and SCUBA of which he is also a certified PADI Divemaster. He presently volunteers his spare time as a volunteer Chaplain at our local hospital in Sulphur Springs.
seth Hunt
Youth and Music Pastor
Seth is our Youth and Music Pastor here at LHBC. Seth has served in youth ministry since 2011 and has been our Youth Pastor at LHBC since June of 2017 and our music leader since July 2021. Seth is the proud husband of Carley Hunt and father to Jude and Eden.

Children Director/Church Administrative Assistant
I married David Goodson in Feb 1997. We have 2 boys Hunter and Heath. I love spending time with my family and friends. Like to go camping and do crafts.
My family joined the church in 2011. In 2015 the position of a Children Director came open. I told the staff that I will only fill in until they could find someone else. I guess the Lord had different plans because I am still the Children Director and I love everyone of those kids like they are my own. Couple of years later I was asked to also be the church administrative assistant.
